Travel with an expert SRRT guide who brings the Southwest to life through stories of geology, ancient cultures, local history, and the land’s unique natural features. Itinerary

Day 1 - Your Journey Begins

Your adventure starts at 9:00 AM as we depart from our Flagstaff tour office and travel toward the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Upon arrival, you’ll have the full day to explore the canyon’s rim overlooks or join your guide for a short descent along the historic Bright Angel Trail. After a relaxing lunch, we’ll continue east along the rim, stopping at some of the canyon’s most breathtaking viewpoints before heading to the Cameron Trading Post for a traditional Southwest–Navajo–inspired dinner. You’ll spend the night at the historic Cameron Lodge.

Day 2 - A Monument Valley Experience

After breakfast at the Cameron Lodge, we’ll set out across the Painted Desert toward the iconic landscapes of Monument Valley. At 1:00 PM, you’ll embark on a 3-hour open-air Navajo-guided tour through the valley’s towering sandstone buttes and legendary film locations. Afterward, we’ll continue to Page, Arizona, where you’ll settle in for the next two nights.

Day 3 - Adventure on the Water and Through the Canyons

Following breakfast, the day begins with a half-day guided raft trip through Glen Canyon, complete with an unforgettable float beneath Horseshoe Bend. After the rafting experience, enjoy a scenic picnic lunch overlooking Glen Canyon Dam.

Next, we’ll head to Lower Antelope Canyon for a 90-minute guided tour through its glowing sandstone corridors. The day concludes with a short walk to the rim of Horseshoe Bend, where you’ll witness one of the most iconic viewpoints in the American Southwest.

Day 4 - Sedona's Red Rocks

After breakfast in Page, we’ll travel south into the striking landscapes of Sedona, Arizona. Experience Sedona from above during a scenic helicopter tour, then spend time exploring the town’s galleries, shops, and vibrant red rock surroundings.

As your four-day adventure winds down, we’ll transport you back to Flagstaff, concluding your unforgettable Southwest journey.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots for short walks, canyon overlooks, and light trail segments
  • Layered clothing suitable for a variety of climates—Northern Arizona can be cool in the mornings and warm in the afternoons
  • Sun protection, including sunscreen, sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat
  • A light jacket or warm layer, especially for higher-elevation mornings and evenings
  • Casual, breathable clothing for daily activities and travel
  • Swimsuit or quick-dry clothing for the Glen Canyon rafting experience (optional but recommended)
  • Camera or smartphone with chargers or extra batteries
  • Small daypack for personal items during daily excursions
  • Reusable water bottle (water is provided, but many guests prefer their own bottle)
  • Personal toiletries and medications
  • Optional gratuity for your guide and activity providers (10–20% is customary)

This tour is designed for travelers with a moderate level of mobility. Daily activities include short walks to viewpoints, optional light hikes, stairs in Antelope Canyon, and a calm-water rafting experience. Your guide will tailor the pace to your comfort level.

We partner with comfortable hotels and historic lodges chosen for their character, convenience, and proximity to each day’s activities. Rooms are based on double occupancy. Single-occupancy upgrades may be available upon request.

To ensure a personal experience, groups are kept small. Most Grand Excursion trips include only a handful of travelers, allowing for excellent guide interaction and flexibility.
