Our Story

Why Tour with
Sedona Red Rock Tours

At Sedona Red Rock Tours, creating meaningful, unforgettable experiences for our guests is at the heart of everything we do. For the past decade, we’ve had the privilege of sharing our passion for the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Arizona—from the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon to the magical red rocks of Sedona and countless other inspiring destinations. Our deep connection to these places drives us to deliver tours that are not only memorable, but truly special.

For more than ten years, our team has had the honor of guiding travelers through some of the most extraordinary landscapes in Northern Arizona. Collectively, our guides bring over a century of on-trail experience to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and the surrounding region—knowledge earned through decades of exploring, studying, and stewarding these remarkable places. Their connection to the land runs deep, and that passion shines through in every story they share and every viewpoint they lead you to.

Grand Canyon Adventures began in 2013 with a clear purpose: to create exceptional, personalized tours led by people who truly live and breathe the outdoors. What started as a small, dedicated guiding team has grown into one of Arizona’s most trusted and respected tour companies, welcoming guests from across the globe. As our mission expanded, so did our footprint. That growth—and our unwavering love for the landscapes of Northern Arizona—inspired us to bring Sedona Red Rock Tours under the same leadership, allowing us to offer an even broader range of unforgettable adventures.

Today, Grand Canyon Adventures and Sedona Red Rock Tours operate together with a shared vision: to deliver meaningful, educational, and memorable experiences throughout the American Southwest. From the depths of the Grand Canyon and the sculpted walls of Antelope Canyon to the sweeping curve of Horseshoe Bend, Sedona’s iconic red rock formations, and the volcanic fields around Flagstaff, our guides are committed to showcasing the most inspiring places in the region.

Every member of our guiding team is a seasoned professional with years—often decades—of experience interpreting the geology, ecology, and cultural history of Arizona. Their expertise and enthusiasm consistently earn us hundreds of 5-star reviews and a loyal community of returning guests.

We invite you to get to know our incredible team on our Meet the Guides page and explore our guest reviews on TripAdvisor. You’ll find stories from travelers who experienced the difference a passionate, knowledgeable guide can make.

Join us—whether with Grand Canyon Adventures or Sedona Red Rock Tours—and discover the Southwest with a team that knows these landscapes intimately and loves them wholeheartedly.

Our Environment

Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Sedona Red Rock Tours, caring for the land is central to who we are. The red rocks, canyons, and desert ecosystems we explore every day are irreplaceable, and we believe it is our responsibility to protect them. Our Green Policy reflects our long-term commitment to sustainability, responsible tourism, and preserving Sedona’s natural beauty for generations to come.

Below are the core principles and practices that guide our operations.

1. Leave No Trace Principles

We proudly follow Leave No Trace ethics on every tour and integrate these guidelines into our daily operations.

  • All guides are trained in Leave No Trace practices and actively teach guests how to minimize their impact.

  • We emphasize responsible actions such as proper waste disposal, staying on designated trails, respecting wildlife, and helping preserve fragile desert environments.

  • Guests receive information and gentle reminders to ensure that we all play a part in protecting Sedona’s landscapes.

2. Rainwater Collection & Water Conservation

In an arid region like Sedona, water is one of our most precious resources.

  • Our facilities use rainwater harvesting systems to reduce dependence on municipal supplies.

  • Collected rainwater supports landscape care, vehicle and equipment cleaning, and other non-potable uses.

  • By prioritizing resource conservation, we help reduce strain on Sedona’s limited water system.

3. Robust Recycling Practices

We divert as much waste as possible from landfills through thoughtful recycling and material reduction.

  • Recycling bins are available at our offices and in our vehicles for paper, plastic, aluminum, and glass.

  • Staff members receive training in proper sorting and ensure materials reach the appropriate recycling centers.

  • We continually review our operations to find additional opportunities to reduce waste.

4. Eliminating Single-Use Plastics

Protecting our environment includes reducing the plastic pollution that threatens ecosystems worldwide.

  • We have removed single-use plastics from our operations whenever possible.

  • Guests are provided with reusable water bottles and can refill them at our filtered water stations.

  • Disposable items like straws, cups, and cutlery have been replaced with biodegradable or compostable alternatives.

5. Ongoing Improvement Through Education & Innovation

Sustainability is not a one-time initiative—it’s an evolving commitment.

  • Our team participates in continuous training focused on conservation, eco-friendly operations, and sustainable tourism.

  • We routinely evaluate our environmental practices and pursue new strategies for reducing our footprint.

  • By collaborating with local partners, environmental groups, and community programs, we help promote stewardship throughout Sedona and beyond.

Our Promise

At Sedona Red Rock Tours, sustainability is more than just policy—it’s a guiding principle woven into every aspect of what we do. By integrating environmentally responsible practices into our tours and operations, we aim to protect the landscapes we love while offering meaningful, memorable experiences for our guests.

Our Community

At Sedona Red Rock Tours, we’re deeply committed to supporting the community we call home. We’re honored to partner with local nonprofits whose work strengthens Northern Arizona—addressing social needs, protecting the environment, and creating opportunities for local youth and families. Our involvement includes financial contributions, volunteer support, and participation in events that highlight and uplift their missions.

Our current partnerships include organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flagstaff, Willow Bend Environmental Education Center, and Grand Canyon Youth, each playing a vital role in enriching the lives of people in our region. Collaborating with these groups inspires our team and invites our guests to engage in meaningful community impact.

Supporting local businesses is another essential part of our philosophy. We proudly source from regional vendors and artisans whenever possible—from the food and beverages we serve on tour to handcrafted items created by local makers. Prioritizing local suppliers helps keep money within our community and celebrates the unique talent and character found throughout Northern Arizona.

At Sedona Red Rock Tours, we’re more than just a guided experience—we’re an active community partner. Our dedication to sustainability, responsible business practices, and community engagement reflects our belief that tourism should benefit both visitors and the people who live here.

We’re committed to building a legacy of positive impact, connection, and shared success—and we invite you to be part of that journey.
